World Cup 2026 Bracket Predictor

You rank the four teams in each of the 12 groups, choose which of the third-placed teams go through, and then pick the winner of every knockout match until one team is left. Your picks are saved in your browser, so you can close the page and come back later to finish.

2026 is the first World Cup with 48 teams. There are 12 groups of four. The top two from each group go through, which is 24 teams, and the 8 best third-placed teams take the last spots to make 32.

The third-placed teams are the hard part. Only 8 of the 12 go through, and each open spot in the Round of 32 can only be filled by a team from certain groups. FIFA covers this with a table of 495 cases, one for every way 8 of the 12 groups could end up qualifying. Instead of copying that table, the app works out a valid set of match-ups from the 8 teams you pick. I tested it against all 495 cases and it always builds a correct bracket.

It is one page of plain JavaScript, with no framework and no backend. The look matches the rest of the site rather than the usual flashy sports graphics. Nothing is sent anywhere, so your bracket stays on your device.
